In the year 1977 at the request of the Tehri Dam authorities of Garhwal district, U.P in collaboration with the bishop of Bijnor, Most Rev Gratian Mundaden CMI, a school and a convent were established in the name of All Saints in Old Tehri. As this region was to be engulfed by the waters of the Dam,  it was shifted into newly built school at New Theri on 10 July 1989.
