St Alphonsa Convent

History: To serve the Orientals settled down in and around Pimpri in Pune Bishop Paul Chittilappilly invited FCC sisters to start a convent over there. The invitation was readily accepted by Rev. Mother. Felicita, t...he Provincial, Assisi Province Thrissur. She arranged for purchasing the land for the convent adjoining the Diocesan Properly. She also agreed to send sisters to run the Diocesan school (St. Alphonsa School). Withot delay convent building came up. Thus St. Alphonsa Convent was opened on 7th June 1989.

Fields of Apostlate: Education.St. Alphonsa School (upto 12th )

 

Pastoral Care:  Catechism Classes, training Altar boys, preparing children for Holy Communion, Confirmation etc. Organizing small Christian Community Meetings

 

Social Work:   Hostel for working ladies, house visiting
